Submit Original Music to Nick & Bootsy!

Bootsy Hambone & Nick Thomas invite you to submit your music to our online Dropbox!

READ THIS BEFORE YOU SUBMIT!

On the Basement Tapes with Nick & Bootsy, we feature music from independent bands of all genres.  We do listen to all submissions before we add them to our master playlist.  We will contact you if we have decided to add your song.

Our goal is to promote bands who create original music, so please submit an original tune to us for our review.  We do occasionally play cover tunes on the show, but only if it’s a song from a band who has already submitted something original.

Check out this article by Kevin Mann on the Indie Music Alliance website before you submit. Everything Kevin discusses is important and will have a direct effect on whether or not we add your music to our master playlist!

When you submit your music to The Basement Tapes, you are agreeing to the following terms:

  1. We can play your music during any broadcast of The Basement Tapes with Nick and Bootsy on any media outlet that we choose.
  2. We can include your music in our podcast.
  3. We can include your music in the player on our website.

In return, we agree to the following terms:

  1. We agree NOT to sell your music from any source, unless via a link to your online store in our website player. (If you would like for us to link to your online store, please provide us with the link when you submit your music.)
  2. We will NOT share your personal contact information with anyone without your specific consent via our online form.

We will accept ORIGINAL digital song submissions via this page. *Note: If you have already submitted your original music, we will accept your best cover songs(s).

Please provide properly tagged files that include Song Title, Album Title, Name of Band, Original Artist.

You can use the online form below to submit SINGLE song files:

  • Your song files must not be larger than 5mb. If you file is larger than 5mb, please use Dropbox to submit!
  • Your song file must be in one of the following formats: mp3 / m4a / wav / flac

    Upload your music! (5MB filesize Max)

    The best way to send multiple songs is to compress them into a ZIP/RAR file and submit them via the Basement Tapes Online Dropbox. You may upload any format TO THE DROPBOX. Be sure and send your highest quality audio files.

    Although we don’t want you to go to any additional expense to share your music with us, we do accept AUTOGRAPHED CDs via snail-mail. Please contact us for a shipping address.
