Nick & Bootsy went on the road this past weekend to see Peter Karp and the Roadshow Band at BB’s Jazz, Blues & Soups in St. Louis, then headed to Columbia for a show at The Bridge with The Many Colored Death, Paralandra and Don’t Mind Dying. Can you say WOW??????? We had a GREAT time at both shows, saw friends we haven’t seen in awhile and made new ones. Bootsy got tons of photos you can see on the Basement Tapes with Nick & Bootsy Facebook page and we had a LIVE recording from every band we saw that we played on Show #276. Us old folks aren’t used to staying up past 3am two nights in a row – heck, we’re not used to staying up until 3am ANY night. We want to give special shout-outs to our friend Claire, who joined us at BB’s for the Peter Karp show; our buddy Donnie, who gave us a place to stay after the show in St. Louis; our friends Jason & Lori, who had a room ready for us in Columbia and hosted the most FUN after-party when we got back from the show at The Bridge. Most of all, we want to shout out to the multi-talented bands who pours their hearts into show that we won’t soon forget (if ever). Are we ready to do it again? You betcha!
We also played tunes from:
- Steven Michael Moore of The Thneeds
- Fuzzyhappy
- Ian James
- Down Side Up
- RB Stone
- RJ Comer
Nick chose some great tunes by Tab Benoit for play during Nick’s Pics.
