After five years of playing music from local, independent bands from across the globe and shaking our heads in wonder that some of these musicians aren’t FAMOUS, we decided to feature a few of them we think should be living in mansions and driving Porshes! There are plenty more that we missed but we just don’t have the time during one show to feature all the “should be famous” bands and musicians we’ve heard, played, seen live and gotten to know over the last five years.
This week, we feature original tunes from:
- Andrew Stratman & the Dirty Midwest
- Collin Nash
- Derek Andrew
- Don’t Mind Dying
- Driving Wheel
- Fivefold
- John Galbraith & the Broken Promises
- Madora
- Miles from Nowhere
- Moon jr
- Paralandra
- Rock Road Rebels
- Shadowplay
- Special 20
- Stone River
- The Many Colored Death
- The White Dominos
- and World’s Best Band KLII
This is only Part I in an unnumbered series, so stay tuned for another episode of “They Should Be Famous” on a future episode of The Basement Tapes with Nick & Bootsy.
Special thanks to Beth Shaw, our neighbor who share Mississippi Hill Country by the Homemade Jamz Blues Band with us. Wanna guess where Nick’s Pics came from this week?
