Show #206: Featuring local bands from outside the USA!

Goodies from the bands!

Thanks to Dave & Dyno with the Roadkill Orchestra and to Phil of BAIKI in Belgium!

On Show #206 of The Basement Tapes with Nick & Bootsy, we feature tunes from bands who just happen to be local outside the USA! We kicked things off with tunes from the bands we’ll be seeing/hearing at Shea’s Birthday Bash at The Bridge next weekend (September 26, 2014). For those of you who don’t know who Shea is, she’s the AWESOMEST drummer EVER for The Many Colored Death.  She’s turning 24 next Friday, so we want to go help her celebrate!!The setlist is:The Bridge next weekend (September 26, 2014). We also want to give a big shout out to Dave & Dyno with the Roadkill Orchestra from Jamestown, Missouri and to Phil B. of BAIKI from Belgium! Both sent us autographed CDs and we’ll be playing songs from both in the very  near future. Special thanks to Heather for preparing the cool box with the notes on the outside and to Phil for sending us something all the way from Belgium. You ALL rock!!!

Check out our podcast. We really do play some good stuff, including Nick’s Picks for the week from Good Rats!

  1. We would never have believed back in July of 2010 that we would be able to do a WHOLE show (and back then, we were only doing an hour-long show) with music we got from bands outside the USA! We started out local, and we’ve remained local – as long as you remember that all the independent bands/musicians we play on The Basement Tapes with Nick & Bootsy ARE local to somewhere, even if it’s not Salem/Rolla, or even Missouri, or even the United States!

Nick & Bootsy LOVE Feedback! What's yours?
