It’s hard to believe that it’s been 3 years and 148 shows ago that we first sat in the K-KID Command Center and played the songs from the 2010 K-KID Birthday Bash. From our first guests, Rick Gehlert and Levan Guinn to our most recent phone interview with Jillian Riscoe of The Red Velvet Crush, we’ve never had a dull moment! The cool thing about being a DJ is that you can do it for years, no matter how old you get. Just look at Casey Kasem and Dick Clark.
This year, we’ll be hosting another acoustic jam in the K-KID parking lot for all our friends. Bring a chair and an acoustic instrument and join in the jam, or just come hang out and listen. Alan Bryd of Chemically Imbalance will be guest-hosting with us and we’ll hear the on-air acoustic debut performance of Eddie Weldon of Hidden Revealed and his son, Eli. There’s no telling who (or what) else we’ll be hearing.
